Thursday afternoon, Davidson Local hosted the Give Work A Chance Job Fair. The brainchild of Joel Leonard, we welcomed over 300 job seekers to our event; some who were set up with interviews on the spot.
Today is the day. This afternoon, over 20 area companies will be seeking to fill over 350 livable wage jobs. We will have free food and water stations indoors and outdoors.

Family Services of Davidson County (FSDC) has begun their search for a new Executive Director. Tim Tilley, who has been with FSDC since its inception and led the agency as ED during the last four years, has announced his retirement at the end of 2023.
We’re planning for a great turnout at the Give Work A Chance Job Fair on August 24th. We will have many opportunities of different education and skill levels, ranging from entry-level roles requiring no previous experience, to jobs that require a degree and experience.
