United Way offers aid to people in need and strives towards community prosperity, offering financial, educational and health-related support. It collaborates with and supports Pastor’s Pantry, helping Davidson County as a whole, working toward its goal of building up equitable and strong communities and helping those in need.
United Way of Davidson County invests in programs that provide mentoring, tutoring, and after-school care for students in Davidson County. Programs that effectively encourage school readiness, school success and the lowering of the high school dropout rate and increasing the graduation rate.
The games have always been a lighthearted and friendly competition, something to motivate the athletes, keep them active and to overall make the day an amazing and memorable one for everyone involved. All of this is done with the help and support of United Way.
Help your local community and help yourself by taking the time to go up to the library! It’s an amazing opportunity with amazing people and coordinators there to help you out.
This year the parade is to be held in the Historic District of Thomasville, with the main celebration, the parade, occurring on May 29th starting at 9am. It is to start in downtown Thomasville and end at the Cushwa stadium. But that is only the tip of the iceberg of events to come.
