Driver Accused of intentionally crashing into Davidson County Courthouse

Lexington, NC – April 4, 2025 – On Thursday, April 3, officers with the Lexington Police
Department responded to the Davidson County Courthouse, 110 West Center St, in reference to a single motor vehicle accident involving the courthouse building.

On scene, officers identified the driver as Lisa Vicente, a 60-year-old female. Following an investigation, Vicente was found to have willingly and purposely drove her vehicle into the courthouse building. Vicente was arrested and charged with damage to real property, reckless driving, wanton disregard, and defacing a public building.


Vicente was taken before the Magistrate and placed into the Davidson County Detention Center under no bond. Vicente has a court date set for April 23, 2025.
