Black History Trivia night at the museum offers fun and education

The Lexington Library, in collaboration with the Davidson County Historical Museum, is hosting a Black History Month Trivia Night designed to be both educational and entertaining.

The evening will be led by local historian Tonya Lanier, who will facilitate a series of pub-trivia style questions focusing on the significant contributions and events in Black history. Attendees will also have access to a hot-chocolate bar, featuring a selection of toppings and flavors to enhance their experience. This event welcomes teams of 2-6 participants and requires prior registration.

A unique segment of the trivia night will include a potato chip tasting, celebrating George Crum, the African American chef credited with inventing this popular snack in 1853.

The trivia night will take place at the historic Davidson County Historical Museum, known as "the Old Courthouse on the Square," situated in downtown Lexington. Doors will open at 6:15 PM, and the trivia will commence at 6:30 PM.
