Due to the pending severe inclement weather forecast the Davidson County Veterans Council regret to inform the public that the events scheduled for The Wreath Laying Ceremony at 11am and the City of Lexington NC Veterans Day parade at 3 pm on Friday 11 Nov. 2022 have been cancelled. No rescheduled events are planned. Please plan to join us for the events of 2023.

Foundation Forward presented Davidson County Commissioners with a Certificate of Responsibility for “Charters of Freedom” located in The Square of Uptown Lexington on Thursday, October 27th at 11:00 am.
The mission is to show support for Veterans of all military conflicts, with a special emphasis on the Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as raise awareness about the challenges faced by many Veterans and the resources that are available at the county, state, and federal level to assist Veterans and their families.
LCS is pleased to announce, LTC (Ret) Gregory H. Sutton is the new Director of Transportation at Lexington City Schools.

Organizers invite the public to come out to Downtown Thomasville on Monday, May 30th at 9:00am the our annual Memorial Day Parade. The parade will start at The Big Chair and go down Salem Street towards Memorial Park Dr. This event is hosted by the NC Memorial Day Parade Committee. The Grand Marshal for this year is Lt. Governor Mark Robinson.
If a veteran has any of these conditions, they should contact the Davidson County Veteran Service Office to schedule an appointment to file for compensation.
The Thomasville Chamber of Commerce is holding a networking event on Thursday, April 7 from 8:30AM to 9:30AM for veteran owned businesses.
