Lexington native Charles Moose, who was the former chief of the Montgomery County Police Department has passed away at the age of 68. The former chief of the Montgomery County Police Department garnered international media attention as a regional leader during the D.C. area sniper attacks.
Mr. John Buford Hayes, Jr, 78, formerly of Hammond Road, died Thursday, July 1, at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 10 at the Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside.
Elder Gloria Inez Walker Cross, 75, died Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
After a short and unexpected hospitalization, Elder Gloria Cross’s family announced that the well-known leader went on to be with her Creator last Sunday, April 17th. Services for our beloved Chapter President, Elder Gloria Cross will be held this weekend.
Public Viewing will be Saturday April 24, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Service 701 N. Main Street Lexington, NC 27292 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral service will be held Sunday April 25, 2021 at the Breeden Insurance Amphitheater, 333 S. Main Street in Uptown Lexington, at 2pm.
Mrs. Jessie Mae Smith Mason, 80, of Hoover Dr., died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center.
Joseph Stanford Sink Jr., 84, formerly of West First Avenue, died Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at Brookdale of Lexington. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Friday, March 26 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Larry Lyon and Dr. Ray Howell III. It will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome. Social distancing and masks are required.
