The State Board of Elections has appealed Friday’s order by the NC Court of Appeals, which required election officials to remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s name from 2024 general election ballots and print new ones. The appeal was filed with the NC Supreme Court Friday afternoon.
A primary for commissioners and other seats will be held on March 5.
Primary day is approaching. Voters will need to report to their assigned polling place on Election Day (Tuesday, March 5th) from 6:30am to 7:30pm.
All five public sites will be open Saturday, February 24th from 8 am-3 pm. March 5th is the official date for the primary election. Several races will be determined by voters in the primary election.
The Board of Elections is preparing for busy days for Lexington City precincts and Thomasville precincts.
The service will take place on Sunday, October 22nd at 2 pm at St. Stephen United Methodist Church, 100 E 1st Street, Lexington NC. The event is free and open to the general public.
At the time publication, 30 Davidson County residents have filed for a multitude of offices.
