The grants are aimed at supporting programs that improve the personal, economic, or professional development of women in the greater High Point community, including Thomasville, Archdale, and Jamestown.
The Thomasville Farmers Market has hired a new farmers market manager, Mary Herrington. A native of Connecticut, Herrington has over 15 years of social media marketing experience. For 13 years, she was a micro-food business entrepreneur selling her products in Charlotte-based farmers markets.
The Thomasville Black History Month committee is set to host a program in celebration of African Americans’ history, contributions and culture. According to city councilor and organizer Wendy Sellars, there will be a display of citizens and their contributions to the Thomasville and Davidson County communities.
