During this investigation, it was discovered that Roger and Robin McLean were in possession of over 100 domestic dogs. Multiple Cruelty Compliance Orders were issued and Rescue Organizations assisted in treating and removing these animals from the residence.
Johnathan Trent Thomas, 27, of Linwood, North Carolina, appeared in federal court today on charges of making threats of violence against federal law enforcement officers, announced Russ Ferguson, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. Thomas was arrested Friday, May 16, and remains in custody pending a detention hearing.
Local authorities, including the Davidson County Sheriff's Department, have issued warnings about these scams.

A female was rescued from a vehicle at a residence on Bald Cypress Rd. with multiple gun shoot wounds, her conditions are not known at this time. We can confirm at this time that no one in the area is in danger.

Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office Traffic & Criminal Enforcement Unit, assigned to the Special Investigations Division stopped a 2018 Ford Fusion on Interstate 85 South at MM 91, Lexington for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop Detectives arrested and charged the driver, Aaron Deunte Ratliff of Charlotte with possession of counterfeit instrument.
On December 4th, 2023 at around 8 pm Davidson County Deputies responded to an address in the northern end of Davidson County in reference to a trespassing call for service. Registered sex offender Jager Leonard was at the residence trespassing.
On Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office responded to 7106 NC HWY 8, Lexington. Upon arrival Deputies located five subjects suffering from gunshot wounds on the property.
During the investigation, it was determined through interviews and veterinary documentation, that a horse and a cow had possibly been shot with Black Powder Shot and are currently going through medical treatment at this time.
On Monday, November 13, 2023, Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division / Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested and charged Robert Joseph Gallazzi, of Lexington, North Carolina, with ten counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation.
The incident occurred while the victim was house sitting for the suspect in this case.
After being arrested, Matthew Franklin Lafleur was taken before the Davidson County Magistrate where he was issued a secured bond of $250,000.00 and a court date of October 3, 2023. After appearing before the Magistrate, Matthew Franklin Lafleur was placed in the custody of the Davidson County Detention Center.
