As back-to-school month, September functions as a great time to refresh your knowledge of all that a library card has to offer teachers and student learners of all ages. A library card unlocks a floodgate of materials which support the library’s mission statement of “Reading, Learning, Thinking, and Living.” Patrons of all ages can access both the physical collections of the library which includes books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, and Blu-Rays, along with invaluable digital resources such as e-audiobooks, e-books, and streaming music.
Every year as the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve, we all welcome the upcoming year and anticipate the possible challenges, accomplishments, and overall potential that it holds.
In conjunction with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, the Davidson County Public Library is offering Reading with Ringling from now through February 2nd 2024.
The Davidson County Public Library System will observe National Library Card Sign-Up Month during September. As part of the celebration, patrons with lost or damaged cards can replace them for free.
The Lexington Public Library will host two shark tooth and seashell hunting programs, one for children and one for adults, as part of its Summer Reading calendar.

On March 4th, the Denton branch of the Davidson County Public Library System will celebrate its 2nd annual Library-Con Comic Book Convention.
