Detectives are looking for a suspect vehicle, a 2011 Lexus IS250, black or dark gray, Georgia license plate CWW3774. If anyone sees the vehicle, do not approach; call 911.
Lexington Police Department, with the assistance of the US Marshals Carolinas Regional Task Force, arrested 37-year-old Darius Bethea on November 3, 2023, for the murder of Robert Grant. Grant's murder took place during a shooting that happened on September 16, 2023, on Tussey Street in Lexington.
On Tuesday, May 9, Lexington Police Officers responded to a suspected armed robbery attempt at Lexington Family Pharmacy on East Center Street.
During the arrests, officers also recovered a handgun and narcotics. This was an isolated incident and not a random act. Officers and investigators are unaware of anyone being hit by gunfire or any injuries related to the incident. LPD recognizes that this was a heavily congested area at the time and would like to thank the public for their patience as we worked to apprehend these suspects.
On October 11, 2022, investigators with Lexington Police Department’s Special Victims Unit were made aware of a sex offense involving a young female and adult male.
