Celebrating Women's History Month: Alpha Kappa Alpha addresses mental health

March is Women’s Month, a time to recognize the achievements and resilience of women. In observance of this month, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Omicron Psi Omega Chapter of Davidson County has partnered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) NW Piedmont to host an event focused on women’s mental health during uncertain times.

This event is open to the public and will provide a platform for discussing how gender bias can impact mental well-being. The event will facilitate open dialogue on the challenges women face and explore strategies for maintaining mental health.

The organizers have partnered to create a space where attendees can engage with mental health professionals, who will be available on-site to answer questions and provide insights.

The event will offer perspectives from individuals with lived experiences and guidance from professionals in the field.

Community members are invited to attend and participate in the discussion.
