One nation under God
The first commandment is this, “You should have no other God besides me, you shall not worship any other God, for the Lord thy God is a jealous God”.
There is only one God, one true God all humanity is commanded to worship that one true God.
In our Pledge Of Allegiance to the flag, the statement is one nation under God. Nations are obligated to worship the true God and there are circumstances that will come upon them if they fail to do that.
Every person is given a part of being human, the divine image and the knowledge of God's image.
Let us never forget over 2000 years ago, a man named Jesus stood and addressed audiences composed of people like you and me.
He commissioned them, he loved them and he lived amongst them. It is now time for us to step into the risk of the unknown that we may remain one nation under God.
God is monitoring the affairs of all men and women. The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding evil and good.
Proverbs 15:3 states, “No one rises or falls without his hand, sometimes nations may seem so large and powerful to the human mind. Yet they are small things in the eyesight of the Almighty God, but we should know that God is not impressed with any nation’s strength or wealth. God looks upon the heart of men.
The Savior of the world is not dead and the Savior is not asleep. We rejoice in thy salvation and the name of our God we will set up our banners; the Lord fulfills all petitions.
In Psalm 20:5, the scripture teaches us a banner or a flag is something that represents a great truth or great cause. Just as we may lift up the flag as one nation under God, let us lift up Jesus Christ and not ourselves. One nation under God we should be visible at all times. One nation under God we should love at all times. One nation under God we should care for our neighbors at all times. One nation under God we should forgive at all times. One nation under God we should represent God at all times. One nation under God, we should have compassion at all times. One nation under God we should show empathy at all times. One nation under God we should be one nation that makes God proud.
As we meditate on the word of God this week, let us remember as one nation under God we should be visible. Jesus deserves the spotlight of all of our lives. Never should we hinder his life from shining because we are truly one nation under God.
May God So Richly Bless!
