Important election-related dates to remember
The countdown has begun and election day 2024 will be here before we realize. Don’t wait until it is too late for you to make changes to your voter status or for you to register to vote. There are many local and state offices that are going to be filled and every vote matters. In North Carolina, there are numerous offices on the ballot, so it is important to know who the candidates are.
Here is a list of the candidate offices that North Carolinians can vote on in the 2024 elections:

Please remember that you are allowed to take a card with the names that you have researched and chosen in advance to vote for in the 2024 elections into the voting booths to help you remember if you need to.
Dates you may want to know are:
Sept. 6.- Mail outs of absentee voter ballots to eligible voters who have submitted an absentee ballot request
How To Request Absentee Ballot
Oct. 11: -Voter registration deadline 5 p.m.
Oct. 17 -In-person early voting begins; same-day registration available
Oct. 29 -Absentee ballot request deadline 5 p.m
Nov. 2 -In-person early voting ends 3 p.m.
Nov. 5th -General election
Nov. 5: -Absentee ballot return deadline 7:30 p.m.
